Social Responsibility

From its inception, the leaders of ComTrans have demonstrated a commitment to giving back to the community.

The company is involved in the annual Phoenix Zoowalk for Autism Research, donating vehicles, fuel and the volunteer time of drivers to support this fundraising event. Staff also raised more than $5,000 in cash contributions and employer matching grants.

Staff generously supports other local non-profit agencies including Children's First Academy, Casa de los Ninos, St. Mary's Food Bank, Children's Crisis Nursery, Shriners' Hospital and others. And ComTrans respectfully donates shuttle service to military veterans who need assistance to participate in a variety of local, state and national veterans events annually.

Sustainability

From the purchase of recyclable materials to the use of electronic record keeping technology, ComTrans is doing its share to use resources in the most efficient ways possible. We also choose vendors that share our commitment to recycling and we use environmentally friendly products both on the road and in our offices.

ComTrans uses a sophisticated internally-developed routing algorithm system to determine the most fuel-efficient vehicle to use on a particular type of call. We use autos, when possible, for transporting one or two people, mini-vans for larger groups, and larger vans with special equipment for people in wheelchairs or passengers who need a higher level of special services.

Transporting passengers in the most efficient vehicles helps us provide services at competitive rates for our clients while we ensure the safety and comfort of our passengers and drivers at all times.

We also assign drivers who are in the closest vicinity to a call in order to reduce unnecessary driving and idling.
